The origins of Lucid Bells and their appearance have always been obscured and mysterious. However, legend has it that they emerge from forgotten dreams. Each Lucid Bell takes on different attributes from specific astral planes as a result of a variety of vibrations the recipient projects. These vibrations oftentimes alter their features, stature, shape, and size, and change throughout their existence, navigating through the dream worlds. Their circular bell-shaped heads serve as the gateway to their world. These heads are typically made of a metal material (copper, silver, rose/gold), but can be painted over or display a variety of different designs through mythical effects. The two holes on the sides of their heads represent their eyes. The straight line that connects the two points represents their mouth. This can be revealed and hidden at will by rolling their head backwards, forwards, and even sideways, similar to a Kugel Fountain.

Their heads are adorned with fabric-like materials, typically bows, ribbons, ropes, sheets, etc., symbolizing their ears. They serve both decoratively and as aids to sensory reception, allowing them to tune in to the frequencies of dreams and emotions. An extra set of ribbons extends down and drapes towards their front legs. Oftentimes depicted with the front hooves inserted in them like gloves, or can be seen floating around the Lucid Bell, outstretched to grab whatever catches its eye. These extra limbs provide them the versatility to navigate different dreamscapes. Similar to their ears, Lucid Bells may feature fabric-like tails or explore more traditional mammalian tails, adding to their individuality.

Accessories and additional features are bound to appear depending on the person or energy the Lucid Bell originated from. For example, if someone has positive vibrations/frequencies in a dream that display their truest desires of becoming a movie star, the Lucid Bell will reflect those feelings throughout their appearance. These can be as subtle as the colors being black and white from an old-time film or obvious additions like hoisting a camera on their shoulder. In the dream world, the only limitations are your mind. So feel free to create however you’d like when it comes to designing your Lucid Bell! Head Anatomy

Fundamentally, Lucid Bells have their eyes structured at the sides of their head; this is called monocular vision, similar to a rabbit or a squirrel. This unique feature optimizes vision, offering a wider field of view while navigating the dream world. As for the ribbons, typically, there are two primary sets of strands on the back of your BELLL's head. One set is classified as their ears. As included in the example, they’re often placed at the top section of the crown or the parietal ridge, in comparison to a human skull. The next set is the ribbons that flow down into the arm limbs. These ribbons are located at the occipital bone on a human skull, the lower section behind the head. Since BELLLs are rarely depicted from behind in illustrations, the provided diagram offers a complete view of the BELLL's head from nearly every angle, allowing you to accurately visualize the placement of the ribbons.

Hand Anatomy

The main tool humans use throughout their existence is their hands. They utilize them to maneuver around the world, interact with others, and they look at them every day. Lucid Bells adopted this feature and used it as leverage to traverse their own world. Now these hands aren’t perfect and are often misconstrued. Since humans often have a hard time visualizing their hands in dreams, Lucid Bells have a difficult time grasping how they look on occasion. So, these features can be drawn in any way from dog paws, M-Mouse gloves, or four-finger blobs for a more personalized touch. The choice is yours! However, it's important to remember that these hands are a signature feature of Lucid Bells and play a crucial role in their design. As such, they should always be included and never omitted.

Body Shapes & Sizes

Lucid Bells come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, giving you the freedom to explore different body types in your designs. Whether you envision a big, buff, and muscular BELLL, a tall and slender figure, or a short and stocky form, the possibilities are endless! You can also experiment with different styles for their hooves, ranging from realistic to more simplified interpretations. As shown in the guide, there are various approaches that stay true to the BELLL's anatomy while allowing for creative expression.

When drawing their feet, you might find it helpful to reference animals like horses, goats, or cows, but remember that some BELLLs may have unique features that set them apart from typical hooved creatures. These distinctive characteristics are part of what makes each Lucid Bell special, so feel free to get creative while maintaining the essence of the species.
